Just call me Ms. Sullivan
Well, it's been awhile since I last updated but I finally have good news...I'm going to San Salvador! Nothing like taking it down to the wire, but it will be 37 days of business and pleasure. Now when I talked about going to El Salvador with a friend she wondered what kind of goals or expectations so I figure I would write a few down.
First off I want to make miracles happened when I'm down there. I'm thinking a miracle a day would be good and none off those waffly or mini miracles, I'm going to go all out. But seriously I want to do a good job down there, to be able to support the office down there to the best of my ability and make the most of this TDY.
Secondly I no habla espanol. I sadly chose to take French in high school thinking Spanish wouldn't come in handy for me. Boy was I wrong. So when I'm down there I'm hoping to pick up a little bit of Spanish. Not only would it be good for me but I could hopefully pick up enough to know when my brother is lying to me when he tries to pass of a fake word as a Spanish word. If I'm a complete idiot I can always resort to a portable white board and write everything down. Hell, I'm thinking of doing that around here just so I can get my coffee made right at Starbucks each morning.
Lastly I hoping to take in as much of the country as possible, the land, people and culture. I've never been anywhere in Central America and don't know if I will get the opportunity to return. I've been doing a little bit of web surfing on El Salvador and there seems to be a lot to see and do...Ruins, national parks, coffee plantations, etc. I already have one tentatively planned with Pick-Up Artist. Where you ask? Of course the coffee plantation, gotta get my coffee addiction taken care of. I wonder if they do coffee testing like they do with wine?
