Au Revoir Paris!
From the highest point in the city
Sacre Coeur
Just when I thought I could go a week without seeing an OBX sticker I see one a car over here. It was on one of the American cars so I'm guessing they had it on their car before coming over the France. Still I can't believe I saw one of those stupid stickers almost 4,000 miles from home. The French are probably like "WTF, Quelle est la OBX?!?"
So last night around 1:30am my personal cell phone starts ringing. The area code was from MN and I didn't recognize the number so I thought something might have been wrong. I mean, who calls that late? I missed the call but the person left a message. Yeah, I couldn't have been more wrong. It was some woman looking for Joe saying she could come "help" later that night with those "things". Riight. She goes on to saying her kids go to bed around 8 so she could come over any time after that to help him with that "stuff". Why she was being a vague about it all I don't get. I mean she is making a booty call after all....
I know hotels in Europe tend to run on the small side but this is pushing it just a bit. If I wanted to lay my suitcase out it I literally could not walk around it to the other side of the room if I wanted to. To top it off around 2:30 last night my toilet desided to become possessed and start running water non-stop. Now this wasn't just it trickling a bit this is like it's flooding and will run over any second. I mention this to the front desk first thing this morning in hopes they would fix it but alas I was wrong. I come back 12 hours later and it's still doing the same thing. The only reason I know they at least came and looked was the lid was off the tank but otherwise you could tell. I went downstairs to ask about it again and the best they could do is shut it off and have me move to another room for just tonight....how evil...
